Microsoft’s long-awaited event is finally taking place tonight, where the first Copilot Plus PCs were unveiled. In addition to the new Surface laptop, the company unveiled the new Surface Pro with an OLED display, which comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chip
Specifications of Microsoft Surface Pro Copilot Plus
The new generation of Microsoft’s hybrid computer, which can change between a tablet and a laptop, has made many changes in terms of power compared to the previous generation. This device has a 13-inch display with up to 64 GB of RAM, a dedicated copilot button, an improved detachable keyboard and the possibility of connecting to a 5G network.
The new Surface Pro will apparently come with both Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus versions, and will use the Qualcomm chip’s Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to handle various AI-based tasks. Apparently, this device is supposed to have a battery charge of about 22 hours, like other new Copilot Plus PCs.
Microsoft says the new Surface Pro is up to 90 percent faster than the previous model. This device now has a model with an OLED display with HDR and uses the best camera (QHD) in Surface products. Microsoft has also introduced the new Surface Pro Flex detachable keyboard for which the trackpad is 14% larger than before. This product comes in four colors and has Wi-Fi 7.
The new Surface Pro will be available for pre-order from today and will be launched on June 29. This device will be the first product to receive the 24H2 version of Windows 11, but the next-generation Copilot Plus features will not be available to this device until later in the year. The price of the new Surface Pro has not been announced ye.
