The date of introduction and design of Huawei Nova Flip folding phone has been officially determined
Probably because of its affordable price, this phone cannot compete with other flagship flip phones in some features.
Today, Huawei has officially confirmed the launch date of its new foldable phone called the Nova Flip. Although the company has not yet revealed the specifications of this phone and only released a few photos and a video showing its design, a reliable source has leaked the possible specifications of this phone.
Huawei’s official page on the Weibo social network showed the appearance of the Nova Flip by publishing a video. This phone will be officially introduced on August 16 and will have an affordable price. However, perhaps the affordable price of this phone, compared to the capabilities of other foldable phones, is at the expense of this product.
According to “GizmoChina”, a reliable source called “Digital Chat Station” says that the quality of the Nova Flip’s body is not very good, and it probably uses cheaper materials compared to other high-end foldables. Of course, this can reduce the total price of this phone; So the price of the Nova Flip will probably be 5,000 yuan (roughly $690).
Additionally, the Nova Flip is apparently powered by a Kirin 5G chip, although the exact model is unknown. The charging speed of this device is said to be 66W, which is much faster than the 25W charging speed of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, there is currently no mention of wireless charging support.
Possible specifications of Huawei Nova Flip camera and screen
The Nova Flip’s camera system appears to include a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, possibly accompanied by a secondary sensor for depth-of-field or ultra-wide shots.
Rumors about the screen of this phone indicate that the main display is larger than 6.9 inches. Its 2.1-inch external screen is relatively small, according to official renders. There are no details on its resolution and refresh rate yet, but these specs are in line with what you’d expect from a mid-range foldable phone.
While the Nova Flip may not have the top-notch specs or premium build materials of a flagship flip phone, with its likely affordable price tag, it could be a good choice for flip-phone enthusiasts. Huawei plans to officially introduce this phone on August 6 (16 August 1403).
