Microsoft increases the price of Game Pass service; Introducing a standard subscription

Microsoft plans to raise the price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service again in September, introducing a new “Standard” subscription, though it won’t get original Xbox games from day one. According to the email that Microsoft has sent to subscribers, the price of the game service will change to $19.99 per month after September 12 (22 September), which is $3 more expensive than the current price of $16.99.

According to Microsoft, the price of the PC Game Pass service will also increase in September, from $9.99 to $11.99 per month. In this list, there are changes in the price of Xbox Game Pass for different countries.

Microsoft has decided to increase the price of its subscription service when it plans to add big games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and other titles to Game Pass later this year. Also, this price increase affects most Ultimate subscribers, which are a large part of Game Pass subscribers.

Adding a new standard subscription to Game Pass

Along with these price changes, Microsoft plans to offer a new standard subscription for $14.99 per month to Game Pass subscribers, which will not receive new and original Xbox titles from day one.

Microsoft says this new subscription standard will be available in the coming months.

More than a year ago, Microsoft increased the price of Game Pass services between 1 and 2 dollars per month, and despite reports that Call of Duty games will be added to this service, the new price increase was largely expected. Despite this price increase, Microsoft is ready to add the Call of Duty series to Game Pass, which has been one of the most anticipated games for Game Pass subscribers.
