Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 for developers
The third beta version of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 is now available to developers. This update has been released about two weeks after the release of the previous beta version of iOS 18 and a month after the WWDC 2024 ceremony.
According to a MacRumors report, developers can install the latest iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta versions by opening the update section in Settings and tapping the “Beta Updates” option. To download and install the beta version, you need an Apple ID associated with a developer account.
Each new iOS 18 beta is expected to bring changes, bug fixes, and new features. Apple carefully reviews feedback from testers of the previous iOS 18 beta and addresses complaints, bug reports, and performance issues in each newer version.
Features of the third beta version of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18
The second beta version of iOS 18 had changes and new features, including the addition of iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay. This update also introduced support for the RCS feature for iPhone users.
At the WWDC event, we also saw the introduction of Apple Intelligence, which provides a set of artificial intelligence capabilities in this operating system. However, Apple Intelligence has not yet been released in beta versions. This artificial intelligence offers new features to correct and edit text, generate images and emojis, and most importantly, improve Siri. The new Siri has a better understanding of natural language and can also take help from ChatGPT. Of course, Apple Intelligence features are limited to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
The beta version of iOS 18 is currently only available to developers. But Apple is likely to release a public beta by the end of this month. The final version will probably be released to the public in September.
