Microsoft also plans to soon allow businesses and developers to build their own unique versions of Copilot AI, which can perform tasks like virtual employees automatically, including checking emails.
Charles Lamanna, vice president of business applications and platforms at Microsoft, explains:
“We found that limiting Copilot to conversations was too limiting in terms of what Copilot could do. Instead of having a Copilot that waits for someone to talk to it, what if you could make your Copilot more active and able to do things in the background?” ” Copilot AI”
Microsoft is making this new feature available to a very small group of testers today, with a public preview later this year via Copilot Studio. To further explain this feature, Microsoft has provided an example as follows:
“Imagine that you have just been hired. An active copilot will welcome you, argue with HR data and answer your questions, introduce you to friends, train you and give you deadlines, help you with forms and your first week of meetings. adjusts Now, HR and employees can focus on their normal tasks without hassle.”
Microsoft also helps businesses leverage their data in their custom Copilots by connecting data to public websites, SharePoint, OneDrive, and more. The feature is part of Microsoft’s broader effort to elevate Copilot into more than just a chatbot. “Copilot AI”
